Job Overview
PipeX seeks to employ experienced, highly motivated, and professional individuals for the position of Area Sales Managers (ASMs). This position will be responsible for all and involved in all aspects of producing sales and implementing our marketing and sales strategic initiatives. This includes but is not limited to developing an area sales plan, strategy and action items associated with calling on end users, engineers and contractors’, wholesalers and manufacturers reps. The ASMs must have the skill and will to both 1) Provide sales management to the area and 2) Provide salesmanship to the individual territories making up the area.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide sales management to the area by setting sales and training goals by month for each Manufacturers Representative (Representative), creating a strategy to achieve set goals, implement tactics of the strategy, measure and communicate with Representatives actual performance against goals, and adjust if necessary to achieve quarterly and annual performance goals.
- Exceed area sales objectives. Achieving this will be a function of working with and through appointed manufacturers’ representatives to call on specifying engineers and mechanical contractors to create PPR-CT and PipeX Solutions brand preferences.
- Plan a sales coverage schedule that provides monthly and quarterly sales management and joint sales calls with primary and secondary territory markets respectively. Travel could be as much as 75% within the area.
- Develop close relationships with each territories top Specifying Engineering firms, General, and Mechanical contractors.
- Utilizing Pre-Fabrication Services and BP&P Services to provide the Best Practices to owners, engineers and mechanical contractors to maximize the features and benefits of the Aquatherm Product Line.
- Assist with Quick Check Estimator and Productivity demos with required information to produce accurate and professional documents in a timely manner.
- Weekly, submit an updated Project Log for the area which lists the largest projects which each ASM is targeting in their respective territory. The purpose of the Project Log is to assist with growing sales and improving forecasting by ensuring the ASM and management are current on the sales pipeline.
- Conduct customer-faced sales calls per week with PipeX sales representatives, engineering firms, contractors, distributors and end users.
- Meet defined PipeX education and training requirements. Achieving this will be a function of conducting training requirements and presentations on their own.
- Commendable level of product and application competencies which should be achieved and maintained on an ongoing basis.
- Utilize PipeX’s chosen CRM tool to capture customer data, opportunities, and results.
- Adhere to all PipeX company policies and budgets.
Experience
- At least 3-5 years of manufacturing sales management experience. Preference given to experience working through manufacturers’ representatives calling on engineering firms and mechanical contractors in the HVAC industry.
- Bachelor's degree and or Mechanical piping trade experience/knowledge.
- Preference will be given to candidates with specific HVAC industry knowledge and experience.
- Professional and polished individual who is organized, internally driven, a team player and detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturer’s representatives, distributors, contractors, engineering firms, and other sales prospects/customers.
- Experience in product training and presentations to customers.
- Proven experience consistently meeting company sales quotas and objectives.
- Experience managing a sales territory with travel is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- Excellent PC skills; MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
