About the Role
We are currently looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join the Specialty team in Minneapolis, MN. This position will sit within the Banking Team and will grow to be a quantitative expert that provides numerical analysis for bankers, traders, clients, and consultants.
The ideal candidate is passionate about financial modeling; enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; possesses the ability to navigate multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with strong organizational skills; and displays a professional demeanor to interact with senior partners, clients, and colleagues. The accountabilities of this role include:
Create, develop, improve, and refine financial models that support public finance transactions.
Provide sophisticated, creative, and accurate numerical analysis to investment banking colleagues in a timely manner, often with multiple conflicts or overlapping deadlines.
Provide appropriate bond pricing and debt service schedules, financial analysis, and background information at the time of deal identification through transaction close.
Collaborate with team members to prioritize deadlines, grow knowledge of credit markets, and develop technical skills.
Partner with the Banking Team to conduct analysis with a focus on the larger context, including the client's goals and expectations.
Research issuer financial information using external and internal resources.
Conceptualize new methods, approaches, and systems to improve business operations.
Perform any other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Degree in finance, quantitative finance, mathematics, economics, engineering or other related degrees
Ability to demonstrate high achievement, particularly in a team setting
Operates consistently with the highest degree of integrity and accountability
Quickly builds trust across multiple constituencies
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills. Experience in excel and/or DBC Finance a plus.
Can thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, highly self- motivated, and go the extra mile in terms of effort and hours when needed
Well organized, attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects under pressure
Strong communication and professional presence with clients required.

The anticipated starting salary range for Minnesota-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus incentive compensation which will be part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
