Elementary Intervention Aide (2026-2027)

Piper Prairie Elementary has an opening for an interventione aide for the 2026-2027 school year. Starting wage: $16.20/hour commensurate with education and experience. Position open until filled. All interested and qualified candidates are asked to apply as soon as possible. 

Qualifications:

1. High School Degree required. Additional education preferred.
2. Ability to work well with children
3. Ability to use technology
4. Work in a variety of settings with multiple ages and grade levels
5. Adapt with patience and flexibility to frequent changes in schedules and groups of students
6. Collaborate professionally and communicate effectively with all saff
7. Possess a desire and companion to work with struggling learners

Job Goal:

Assist teachers and or staff in preparation and management of instruction intervention activities and administrative requirements for data collection for reading and math intervention groups.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist with scheduling of intervention groups
• Assist in delivering tier 3 instruction under the supervision of a teacher or team of teachers within the intervention model.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom.
• Compile, maintain and input all data and other information as required.
• Assist with parental involvement activities and parents communicated as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Essential Job Skills:

• Experience in using Google suite
• Experience in working with children

• Maintain emotional control under stress

• Extensive walking of the building required

• Teaching experiences preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to ambulate between job sites as needed. 
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones. 
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds to lift and carry materials and equipment as needed. 
• Vision and hearing abilities sufficient to perform essential job functions. 
• Mobility to move within the school environment and to attend meetings in various locations within the school district.
