Project Manager - Emissions/Stack Testing

*Location Preference: Drivable distance to Houston, TX or Butler, PA*

Piper Maddox has partnered with a leading environmental energy organization seeking a Stack Testing Project Manager to lead and execute stack & emissions testing projects while providing technical expertise to clients.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, hands-on technical capability, and the ability to act as the primary liaison for clients, contributing directly to project success and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage emissions and stack testing projects from initial inception through final completion, overseeing planning, scheduling, field execution, with oversight on technicians.
• Perform emissions testing on industrial sources to quantify pollutants.
• Design and execute testing methodologies aligned with federal/state regulations and specific client requirements.
• Oversee field operations, including equipment mobilization, sample collection, and data recording, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Utilize specialized testing instrumentation such as isokinetic sampling equipment, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Gas Chromatographs (GCs), and FTIR analyzers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of direct leadership experience in stack testing and emissions monitoring roles.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Valid driver’s license required.
