Piper Electric, a Crete United Company, is a top-rated electrical contractor in the Denver metro area, is seeking a Fire Alarm Superintendent to support and grow our fire alarm division with a strong focus on a major plant upgrade project, with an expected duration of 2 years.
This role is ideal for an experienced Superintendent in fire alarm systems who is looking for long-term, stable project work with the opportunity to lead field execution from early phases through completion. We are also open to a top performing Foreman ready to take the next step.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead field execution of fire alarm system installations on a large-scale plant upgrade project
• Supervise crews installing conduit, wiring, devices, panels, and networked systems in an active industrial environment
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades to maintain schedule and jobsite flow
• Review drawings, submittals, and layouts to ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, and all applicable state and local (AHJ) requirements, including coordination with fire inspectors and jurisdictional authorities
• Manage manpower planning, material coordination, and jobsite logistics across multiple phases of the project
• Support system programming, testing, and final commissioning in coordination with inspectors and AHJs
• Maintain strong leadership on-site with a focus on safety, quality, and accountability in a live plant setting
• Assist in mentoring and developing field technicians and junior leaders
Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in fire alarm installation on commercial or industrial projects
• Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician License required
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and fire alarm system installation practices
• Exposure to system programming, testing, and commissioning
• NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems) is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and submittals
• Experience working in industrial or plant environments is a strong plus
• Strong communication and coordination skills across field teams and stakeholders
