Responsibilities of the Welding Engineer:
- Develop, maintain, and improve welding procedures and qualification records while ensuring alignment with major industry codes and standards.
- Provide hands‑on technical guidance to service centers on weld preparation, consumable selection, sequencing, heat input controls, and distortion management.
- Lead welder training and qualification programs, conduct visual/NDE inspections, and support corrective actions for weld‑related quality issues.
- Partner with engineering, machining, and production teams to optimize repair methods, support root‑cause analysis, and advance continuous‑improvement initiatives across global repair operations.
- 5 years of experience supporting welding operations, preferably within heavy equipment, mining, aggregates, or repair‑center environments.
- Strong background in welding inspection, WPS/PQR development, and familiarity with NDE methods, metrology, and code requirements (AWS, ASME, ISO, CWB, etc.).
- Skilled communicator with the ability to collaborate across time zones
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; SAP knowledge is a plus. Welding inspection certifications (CWI/CWB) are desirable.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Bachelor’s degree in welding, engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent industry experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Salary Range: $46.64- $57.70/hour ($97K-$120K) (depending on experience)
