Essential Duties of the Upstream Manufacturing Associate:
- Operates bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment such as: incubators, stainless steel and disposable bioreactors, depth filtration skids, chromatography skids, single-use mixers, centrifuges, washers, autoclaves, tanks, and in-process testing instruments.
- Records manufacturing activities clearly and accurately within approved current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) documents and regulatory requirements.
- Performs culture operations including Biosafety Cabinet Operation, Bioreactor Operations, aseptic technique, and harvest.
- Performs chromatography, filtration, and basic analytical testing (e.g., Protein concentration, osmolarity, pH etc.) as well as raw material weigh-out and media/buffer preparation.
- B.S. in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related scientific field
- 1-4 years of experience in regulated manufacturing upstream.
- Basic knowledge of cell culture operations, including Biosafety Cabinet Operation, Bioreactor Operations, aseptic technique, and harvest.
- Basic knowledge of chromatography, filtration, and basic analytical testing (e.g., Protein concentration, osmolarity, pH etc.)
- $50,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
