Piper Companies is seeking an Enterprise Security Design Director to join a leading healthcare technology organization based in Columbia, Maryland. The Enterprise Security Design Director will serve as a hands-on cybersecurity leader responsible for enterprise security architecture, security design reviews, cloud security strategy, incident response, and risk-based vulnerability management across a complex hybrid environment.

- Develop and maintain the enterprise security architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Lead security-by-design initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and data environments.
- Conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modeling for strategic projects and major technology initiatives.
- Drive a risk-based vulnerability management program, prioritizing remediation based on business impact, threat intelligence, and real-world risk.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to design, implement, and enhance enterprise security controls and technologies.
- Lead incident response investigations, support security operations, and provide executive-level risk reporting and recommendations.
- 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
- 5 years leading enterprise security architecture, security engineering, or cybersecurity programs.
- Strong experience securing hybrid environments across Azure, on-premises infrastructure, and SaaS platforms.
- Deep expertise in enterprise security architecture, security design reviews, security strategy, and risk management.
- Hands-on experience with risk-based vulnerability management, penetration testing oversight, and remediation programs.
- Proven incident response experience with the ability to investigate, contain, and remediate cybersecurity incidents.
- Experience with Microsoft security technologies including Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, and Purview.
- Required certifications: CISSP, Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), and GCIH.
- Salary range: $170,000 - $190,000 (Depending on Experience)
