Job Summary:
The Mechanic / Auto Dismantler is responsible for removing parts from salvaged vehicles, ensuring that parts are properly identified, organized, and prepared for sale to customers. The position requires a mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate: Pay for this position is hourly to begin with while in training, then transition to performance based pay. This means theres no waiting for a yearly review to get a raise. Performance based means you decide when you earn extra cash, giving you the chance to customize and build your own paycheck.
Essential Functions
- Identify and remove parts from salvaged vehicles using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect and test parts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Properly identify and label parts, ensuring that they are organized and stored appropriately.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Competencies:
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to use a computer or tablet
Work Environment
- Inside/Outside All seasons
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 85 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an auto dismantler or parts puller preferred but not required.
