Premier Traffic Team is seeking reliable and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Traffic Control Flaggers in Staunton Va, Middlesex, Va (Eastern Shore), Loudoun, Va and Hanover, Va. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and controlling traffic flow in and around construction zones, utility work areas, and other temporary traffic control environments. You will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions to help maintain a safe work zone for motorists, pedestrians, and workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the movement of traffic through construction or work zones using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, or two-way radios.
Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades.
Communicate clearly and professionally with crew members, the public, and supervisors.
Monitor work zones to ensure the safety of workers and the public at all times.
Follow instructions from site supervisors and company leadership.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Valid ATSSA Flagger Certification or ability to obtain prior to employment (training available).
Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and work in all outdoor conditions.
Strong communication and situational awareness skills.
Dependable transportation to job sites.
Preferred:
Previous experience in traffic control or construction.
Certification in CPR/First Aid or additional safety training.
