WHY YOU SHOULD WORK WITH US

  • Competitive salary & bonus opportunities
  • Remote work, Casual atmosphere
  • Paid Time Off & Health Insurance Reimbursement
  • Unlimited room for growth
  • Highly interactive, challenging work with a talented, diverse, passionate team
  • Home Office Reimbursement

The Role

We're hiring a hands-on Director of Marketing with experience in direct response B2C lead generation.

You will report directly to the CEO, a direct response copywriter who reads every ad and wants a sparring partner, not a project manager. You will work daily with our marketing team and, to a lesser extent, the company's operations and development teams, who will help implement your ideas and strategies.

Success in this role looks like:

• A consistent testing pipeline built on copywriting and UI/UX best practices.

• Seeking arbitrage opportunities.

• Creating tests with clear hypotheses.

• New angles and concepts that enable scaling a campaign horizontally through new channels and strategies, or vertically through optimizations.

What you'll own

1. New concepts. Create or find different angles, hooks, offers and strategies for new and existing campaigns.

2. A/B test design. Turn ideas into tests that can actually teach us something: one variable and a written hypothesis.

3. Analysis and the call. Pull the data, judge significance and practical impact, and recommend a call: scale, kill or retest.

4. Copy. Suggest new tests or edits for new variants of ads, landing pages, intake forms and lead nurturing (email, SMS).

5. Testing log. Record the results of tests so wins compound.

Practice

• 4 years in direct response B2C lead generation, with your own results measured in cost per lead, cost per acquisition or similar. Brand and awareness marketing alone will not qualify.

• Owned tests end to end. You designed them, ran them, analyzed the results and made the decision.

• Strong direct response copywriting. You understand headlines, hooks, offers, proof and calls to action.

• Copywriting fundamentals. You understand the principles of seminal experts such as Gary Halbert, David Ogilvy and Joe Sugarman.

• Comfort with data. You can work in ad platform reports, spreadsheets and analytics tools on your own, and you know the difference between a real winner and noise.

• Self-starter in a small team. You have thrived where nobody hands you a task list, and you can point to tests and ideas you started on your own.

• Paid social and search experience, especially Meta, TikTok, Google and YouTube.

Nice to have

• Legal lead generation, mass tort, mass arbitration or other regulated verticals (insurance, finance, health).

How to apply

Applications without the four items below will not be reviewed. A resume alone tells us little about this job.

1. A short intro note. Not a cover letter, just a handful of sentences so we get a sense of you.

2. 3 to 5 pieces of direct response copy you wrote (ads, landing pages or email) and the result each one produced.

3. Two A/B tests you designed and analyzed yourself. For each, a few paragraphs: the hypothesis, what you changed, the metric, the sample size, the result, how you decided it was real, and what you did next. Include at least one test that lost.

4. One untested idea for a consumer legal claims campaign: the angle, a sample headline, and how you would test it.
