Overview:

Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join their growing team in an onsite internship opportunity in Henderson, Nevada.The ideal Electrical Engineer Intern is motivated and detail-oriented and will assist with various projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of electrical engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to apply their academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges and develop their skills in a professional setting. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and contribute to the success of the company, and you will receive mentorship from experienced engineers.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Design and Development: Work with the engineering team to design and develop electrical systems and components, including circuit design, PCB layout, and system integration.
  • Testing and Analysis: Conduct testing and analysis of electrical systems and components to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards. Document test results and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Prototyping: Help with the assembly and testing of prototypes, including troubleshooting and debugging of electrical circuits and systems.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of designs, test procedures, and test results. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Research: Conduct research on new technologies, materials, and methodologies to support the development of innovative electrical solutions.
  • Compliance: Assist in ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.


Requirements:

  • You must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, and electronic components. Classes or experience in electrical power generation is especially relevant. Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) and simulation tools (e.g., ETAP).
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey technical information.
  • Experience: Prior internship or project experience in electrical engineering is a plus but not required.
  • Detail-Oriented: Pays attention to details and ensures accuracy in work.
  • Motivated: Eager to learn and take on new challenges. Shows initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Team Player: Works well with others and contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Adaptable: Able to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
