Campus Services Team Member- Grounds & Maintenance Focus

Position Summary:

The Campus Services Team Member – Grounds & Maintenance Focus, assists with a variety of tasks across the operational service sub-teams according to fluctuating business needs and seasonal demands. This position is Part-Time, and assists with the maintenance of campus buildings, grounds maintenance, event set-up and take-down, and occasional custodial duties.

• Ability to be organized and remember daily and weekly tasks / assignments.

• Must work well with a team, or alone and work to meet safety standards and service goals.
• Must take initiative and have an eye for detail.
• Must be willing to follow safe working protocols and standards for safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in event room setup and take-down both for inside and outside locations.
• Assist in the transportation of guests during events if needed.
• Assist in the weekly building and infrastructure maintenance of the roughly 20 acre property.
• Assist in the maintenance of grounds and equipment.
• Lawn mowing, string trimmer use, edging, forced air blowing, weed pulling, raking, digging, planting of different sizes of plants and trees, watering and work on irrigation, adjusting sprinkler heads, applying mulch and pine straw, application of different products, painting, pressure washing, scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, wiping down cobwebs, trimming palm trees, assisting with minor repair of roofing and siding materials, as well as carpentry repairs, and safe use of ladders.
• Safe operation of a utility vehicle or company truck/van.
• Custodial & occasional housekeeping duties: remove garbage, clean dining area, guests' rooms, lobby, conference rooms.
• Assists the other Operations sub teams (Food Services, Housekeeping, etc.) as needed and directed by supervisor.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Must be able to work in varying climate conditions, including working in extreme heat conditions, extreme cold weather conditions, and during precipitation.
• Crouching, bending, stooping, crawling, digging, climbing, running, jumping, walking, sawing.
• Use of varying maintenance, kitchen and office equipment including but not limited to, power tools, pressure washers, and cleaners.
