What are the responsibilities and job description for the BLS Instructor position at PIONEERS MEMORIAL HEALTHCARE DISTRICT?
SUMMARY:
The instructor job entails creativity and the ability to follow standard basic life support (BLS) curriculum. The instructor should have practical experience in performing the skills taught and the ability to communicate the skills to students in a clear and precise manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Teach the necessary skills in demonstrating and teaching the techniques of CPR and FBAO to employees and the community according to the American Heart Association curriculum.
- Observe students as they demonstrate skills learned.
- Submit required paperwork for students to be issued their AHA Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support cards.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties as assigned from time to time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience as a BLS instructor preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must maintain current BLS instructor certification issued by the American Heart Association.
