About the Role:
The AP Payroll DPNF position is a critical role within the Health Care and Social Assistance sector, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and payroll functions. This role involves managing payroll data entry, verifying employee time records, and coordinating with various departments to resolve discrepancies. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations while supporting financial reporting and audit processes. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Ultimately, the role ensures that employees are compensated correctly and vendors are paid promptly, supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Finance, or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing or accounts payable within a healthcare or similar environment.
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Experience with healthcare payroll systems and familiarity with DPNF (Direct Provider Network Fee) processes.
- Certification in payroll management (e.g., CPP - Certified Payroll Professional).
- Knowledge of labor laws and benefits administration in the healthcare sector.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify accounts payable invoices and employee payroll data accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee attendance, leave, and benefits information.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and answer related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws, tax regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other documentation required for audits and financial reviews.
- To assist in the scheduling of CNA's and call offs related to scheduling.
