Job Overview

Join our custodial team and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our school. As Custodial Staff, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive cleaning and sanitation procedures, ensuring all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Your proactive approach will help create a positive space for employees, visitors, and clients alike. We are looking for someone to work 3.5 hours per evening Monday - Friday, ideally 3:30-7:00 p.m. but this is flexible.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various facility areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain pristine floors and surfaces.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate department.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols is essential for safe operations.
• Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting enhances your suitability for this role.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols is required for handling supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Proactive attitude will help foster a positive environment for all facility users.
