Role Overview

We are seeking a Videographer & Content Creator to create compelling, high-impact photo and video content across all Pioneer Sports businesses. This role is hands-on and end-to-end, owning projects from concept through execution, editing, and delivery. Content will range from individual and team pics, to quick-turn social videos (Instagram Stories, Reels, TikTok, etc.) to longer-form premium event recaps like the annual Surf Nation Summit or co-branded partnership video series for our top sponsors. You should have a sharp eye for impactful soccer moments, a strong instinct for storytelling, and the ability to capture the emotion, intensity, and joy of match days. This role is primarily behind the camera - experience in front of the camera and interacting with kids is a plus.

Some Key Responsibilities Across our Businesses:

Surf Sports Events/Tournaments:

• Registration-driving content, multi-day tournament coverage, highlights for IG, TikTok, YouTube
• Collaboration ideas with partners like Club America and Manchester City

San Diego Surf Soccer Club: (2027 is the 50th anniversary!)

• Tryouts, playoffs, and major matches
• Player, coach, and parent features
• Program highlights and fundraising moments
• Celebrating key moments with players on the US & Mexican Youth National Teams

Surf Nation:

• Annual Summit 2-day conference
• National features spotlighting top players, key partners, and major milestones (e.g., U-17 FIFA World Cup, National Team call-ups, Collegiate Commit Day)

Athlete Travel:

• Employee and partner testimonial videos for B2B and LinkedIn

League Coverage:

• Tell the story of our teams at various leagues across the country
• This includes San Diego Surf teams in SoCal League State Cup and ECNL
• Additional Leagues nationwide included

Skills & Experience

• Must have a passion for soccer and be a fan of the game; familiarity with the U.S. club soccer youth system is a major plus
• Portfolio showcasing video production work, shooting in diverse environments and scenarios
• 3 years of experience in videography, photography, and content creation using motion graphics
• Skilled in camera operation and strong proficiency with modern video production tools (ie. Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro)
• Ability to create platform-specific content (ie. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, paid media formats)
• Strong understanding of current music, social media, and sports content trends
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Collaborative, adaptable, and positive team-first attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Film, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Important Notes

• This role is based on-site in Rancho Santa Fe, CA
• Includes weekends and holidays for tournaments and league coverage
• Must be available for occasional air travel
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
