Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead our leak investigation and repair division. You will serve as a key technical leader, often operating independently with a company-provided vehicle while managing a helper and ensuring quality resolution of complex roofing issues for our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Leadership: Direct and manage a helper's daily work, assigning tasks and ensuring quality and productivity standards are met on each job site.
- Diagnostic Excellence: Conduct thorough investigations to locate water infiltration points on TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, and Metal roofing systems.
- Precision Repair: Oversee and execute manufacturer-warranted repairs using heat welders, torches, and cold-applied adhesives with a focus on long-term sustainability.
- Field Documentation: Use company-provided digital tools (iPhone/iPad) to capture "before and after" photos and ensure the helper generates clear, accurate service reports.
- Professional Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact with facility managers, explaining repair progress and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Safety First: Enforce 100% adherence to OSHA fall protection standards and all company safety protocols for yourself and your helper at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years specifically in commercial roofing service and repair (not just new construction/production).
- System Knowledge: Proven proficiency in Single-Ply (TPO/PVC/EPDM) and Low-Slope systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand welders (Leister/Steinel); experience with moisture detection tools is a significant plus.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean record (required for driving the company service van).
- Physical Ability: Comfortable climbing 40ft ladders and lifting 50 lbs regularly in varying weather conditions.
