What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Direct Support Staff position at Pioneer Recovery Center?
Job duties for this position may include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare lunch and dinner for clients.
- Learns our protocol for medication administration and administers medications correctly to clients as indicated by clients' physician(s).
- Completes locality checks.
- Documents client behaviors in the communication log. Records client behaviors accurately and consistently; effectively communicates significant changes/reactions to appropriate supervisor.
- Go through food in fridge, check dates and make sure that leftovers are planned for a meal before they go bad.
- Make sure cereal containers are filled for morning breakfast.
- Check client snack bins, making sure food is rotated and filled as needed. Utilize first in, first out top make sure that oldest foods are eaten first to ensure food safety and freshness for clients.
- Make sure house laundry is done at night.
- Fill toilet paper rolls
- Make sure liquid cleaners are filled and mixed properly with the proper ratio of cleaner to water.
- Performs/assists clients with activities of daily living (personal care, cooking, etc) consistently and according to policy; assists clients with nutritional needs
- Consistently follows the plan of care designed to meet the emotional needs of clients
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to care for clientele
- Communicates effectively, verbally and written, with co-workers, clients, family, etc.
- Demonstrates positive attitudes and behaviors; promotes an environment in which clients have the opportunity to express concerns or needs; assists other staff as needed
- Must be able to handle confidential client information with care and security; uses correct channels to communicate needs or concerns

afternoons, overnights and/or weekends
Required Qualifications
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid drivers license
Able to pass a background study
Pioneer is an all-women recovery program. Women are encouraged to apply for the overnight role.
