Pioneer Property Management is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician / Poter to join our Orlando team. This role plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our communities by ensuring apartments and common areas are maintained to company standards. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, completing work orders, assisting with apartment turns, and providing excellent service to residents while helping maintain a safe, well-kept community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Maintain electrical systems by replacing components, wiring, or fixtures while adhering to electrical codes and safety protocols.
  • Support facilities maintenance activities including residential painting, HVAC repairs, and general building upkeep to ensure a safe and appealing environment.
  • Supervise or assist with team tasks when required, demonstrating leadership in maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime by providing timely maintenance support that aligns with production schedules.
  • Follow safety procedures rigorously during all maintenance activities to promote a secure work environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
  • Experience diagnosing, installing and repairing HVAC systems, including air handlers, condensers, thermostats, and related components.
  • Demonstrated experience performing general maintenance repairs, including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and other routine apartment and common-area maintenance tasks.
  • Universal EPA Certification required, with hands-on experience servicing residential HVAC equipment.
  • Familiarity with Yardi/RentCafe software for work order management is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical experience combined with mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with team members and other departments in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.
