Job Summary:
The caregivers will be responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication assistance, and supportive services to residents while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Reports To:
The caregivers report to the Care Staff Manager.
Supervision:
This role has no supervisory duties.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide medication reminders and document per RCAC regulations
- Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to the nurse or supervisor
- Support residents with meals and hydration
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Document care provided in a computerized record keeping system (ECP)
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and choice
Competencies:
- A positive attitude and genuine love for working with seniors
- Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented
- Ability to pass caregiver background check per Wisconsin DHS requirements
- Experience in assisted living, RCAC, CBRF, or long-term care preferred
- Basic computer skills
Education:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Caregiver, CNA, or CBRF certification preferred (training may be provided)
