JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
The Controller provides financial leadership, analysis, reporting and financial support to operations and company leadership to help the company exceed its operational and financial goals. The Controller is a valued company resource who is a difference maker in the organization.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the daily accounting function including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking and other accounting functions
- Hire, train, develop and managing accounting staff
- Prepare accurate internal and external financial reports published on a timely basis
- Assuring adequate financial controls are in place to safeguard company assets
- Coordinates and manages external reviews with company financial auditors
- Manages the annual financial planning process and prepares periodic financial forecasts
- Keeping accurate records of tooling amortization, both the balances billed and to be billed as well as the balance remaining in our inventory
- Preparing, analyzing and distributes management reports
- Accurate inventory reporting and leadership role in the annual physical inventory process
- Assuring accuracy of production and tooling job costs and timely closing of same.
- Provide the CFO with month end reports on AP, AR, inventories, sales and margins by part and customer, deferred revenue, variances, labor data and other monthly reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations of various accounts
- Various functions in our ERP systems (Epicor)
- Provide skilled cost accounting and margin analysis. Provide guidance to sales and operations team members to help them make decisions that improve company performance.
- Calculate sales commissions
- Special projects and analysis as needed
- The Controller reports to the company CFO.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong Excel skills and an aptitude to learn additional skills
- 5-7 years of financial management experience
- Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP). CPA Certification desired
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Understanding of job cost accounting

Physical requirements are as follows: the employee is required to talk and hear, is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, read and write. The position may require occasional lifting, pushing & pulling of objects. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
