Position: Automation Technician
Location: Carrollton, OH
Pay Rate: $40/hour

Schedule & Availability
- Standard Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (40 hours/week)
- On-Call Rotation: After training, occasional nights/weekends as part of an on-call rotation
Pioneer Production Services Inc. is looking for experienced Automation Technicians to support field operations based out of Malvern, Ohio. This position works primarily on frac sites, helping maintain and improve automation and instrumentation systems that are critical to safe, reliable production.

What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret P&IDs, instrumentation drawings, and cause & effect diagrams
- Troubleshoot and optimize PID loops for process control systems
- Configure and diagnose Modbus communication systems
- Perform testing and calibration of ESD, LEL, and H2S systems
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot:
- PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Eaton, and similar platforms)
- RTUs (ROC, FB107, TotalFlow, etc.)
- HMI systems (Red Lion, Maple, Beijer, etc.)
- Edge devices and industrial software platforms (Ignition, On-Logic, Moxa, etc.)
- Serial-to-Ethernet communication devices (Moxa, Phoenix, Red Lion, etc.)
- Diagnose electrical and wiring issues using multimeters and testing equipment
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot field instrumentation including pressure transmitters, flow meters, and temperature devices
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of automation, controls, or instrumentation experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, mechanical, and computer systems
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Experience working with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and field instrumentation
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent I&E certification is a plus, but not required
