Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Building & Equipment Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our manufacturing facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and building interior components using schematics, hand tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding tasks and mechanical repairs to maintain facility infrastructure.
- Maintain facilities equipment by replacing parts, calibrating systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Lead or assist with maintenance painting projects and carpentry tasks to uphold building aesthetics and functionality.
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Skills
- PRIOR knowledge and experience with building maintenance related to manufacuring facilities including HVAC systems repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical equipment using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated system control.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to facilities equipment maintenance and repair operations (MRO).
- Ability to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
