Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry & Packing (Sterile Compounding Preferred)
Pioneer Pharmacy Services is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment and has strong data entry skills, along with experience in prescription fulfillment and packaging. Sterile compounding experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy management system.
- Process new prescriptions, refills, and patient information while maintaining accuracy.
- Prepare and package prescription orders for shipment according to pharmacy standards.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Ensure all prescriptions are labeled, packaged, and documented correctly.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure timely and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Follow quality assurance procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Assist with sterile compounding operations when qualified and trained (preferred).
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration/certification as required by state law.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Strong data entry and computer skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with prescription packing and order fulfillment preferred.
- Sterile compounding experience or certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
