Duties
- Scoop and serve ice cream and prepare milkshakes and hot fudge sundaes with precision and care, maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality.
- Engage with customers warmly, taking their orders efficiently while upselling popular flavors or toppings to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including scooping stations, counters, and utensils, following strict food safety protocols.
- Restock supplies regularly, including cones, cups, toppings, and napkins, to ensure smooth service during busy hours.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as preparing toppings or assembling dessert cups when needed.
- Support team members by bussing tables or cleaning up workspaces to keep the environment tidy and inviting.
Skills
- no experience is necessary. Proven experience in food preparation or food service environments, ideally within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that encourages repeat visits.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and order fulfillment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash transactions, retail math understanding for upselling opportunities, and quick calculations for change.
