QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED: Any of the following valid NYS teaching certificates:
K – 12 Students w/ Disabilities English or
7 – 12 Students w/ Disabilities Generalist English Extension or
7 – 12 Students w/ Disabilities English Extension
QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to collaborate and support student access to core content academics include knowledge and support of Learning Standards and elements of Specially Designed Instruction across self-contained classrooms.
- Implementation of strategies that support literacy & vocabulary development across all content areas.
- Experience and knowledge of varied disability classifications; their potential learning impacts; including individualized program modifications.
- Evidence of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development based upon student deficits; transition and goal development with progress monitoring systems.
- Knowledge and support with work-based learning tracking, transition and exiting outcomes for each student.
- Evidence of ongoing, proactive, effective communication across students, staff and parents. Evidence of consistent classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement and support across various teachers, classrooms, expectations.
- Acknowledge the balance and connection of students’ social and emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning, growth and development.
- Willingness to participate in and support student activities.
Salary : $47,000 - $50,000
