We're seeking a Chemistry Technician to support our hard chrome plating operations through chemical testing, process control, waste water treatment, and environmental compliance activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, supporting production operations, and ensuring responsible waste treatment practices.
When You'll Work:
Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
What You'll Make:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine laboratory chemical testing according to established chemistry control plans
- Accurately document test results and implement prescribed chemical adjustments
- Execute chemical additions and routine maintenance activities to maintain process chemistry and product quality
- Monitor process conditions and identify potential issues before they impact production
- Perform daily waste treatment activities, including batch chemical neutralization, sludge press filtration, chemical recycling, wastewater discharge in accordance with environmental requirements
- Maintain accurate records of waste treatment activities and compliance requirements
- Manage chemical inventory and storage areas
- Ensure chemicals are properly labeled, handled, and stored according to company procedures
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or coursework in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Technology, or related field preferred
- Previous laboratory, manufacturing, chemical processing, or wastewater treatment experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow procedures
