Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring timely sourcing of products.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to secure quality products at competitive prices
- Oversee inventory control processes using our ERP system
- Coordinate with Payables to ensure that credits are received, orders are correct, pricing is acceptable and follow up with vendors as necessary.
- Monitor sales to forecast needs accurately and prevent stockouts or excess inventory
- Lead logistics, warehouse operations, and warehouse experience to ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of products
- Knowledge of vendor requirements (prepaid freight, special discounts, quantity discounts, etc)
- Notifying and filing with vendors for shortages/damages/mis-shipped parts or invoice errors
- Update sales staff on new products, product changes, vendor changes
- Conducting cycle counts with staff to keep inventory count current
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within distribution or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems for inventory and materials management
- Excellent supplier management skills with the ability to negotiate contracts effectively
- Hands-on experience with logistics, warehouse operations, and inventory control techniques
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
