Pioneer Health Critical Care is seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) to join our dynamic Critical Care Unit team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge healthcare organization and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Position Overview
As an APP in our Critical Care Unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care during night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with a 7 on 7 off schedule for full-time candidates. The role requires collaboration with colleagues to ensure continuous coverage and optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for managing a diverse range of critical care cases and utilizing your expertise to perform various procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level patient care and support in the Critical Care Unit.
- Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, hospital staff and leadership to ensure seamless coverage and comprehensive patient management.
- Perform advanced procedures such as chest tubes, thoracentesis, needle thoracostomy, intubation, extubation, lines and more.
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing critical care cases, drawing upon your previous experience in ICU settings.
Qualifications
- Valid PA or APRN license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PA or APRN in a hospital setting.
- Previous ICU experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional clinical skills and ability to perform advanced medical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
