This position pays $18.00/hr.

Job Summary
The Forklift Operator will operate an industrial forklift truck to load and unload materials and move them to and from machines, loading docks, into railroad cars and other areas throughout the plant.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Applies understanding of forklift loading capacity, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items
- Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor
- Manages and piles skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas
- Service equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties to appropriate supervisor
- Operate equipment in a safe manner utilizing controls and levers
- Load and unload material utilizing set procedures
- Ability to enter and exit equipment frequently
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stand and climb
- Moving material from one designated area to another in a timely manner
- Ability to identify paper/plastic grades
- Adhere to our company safety and employee handbook policies
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area
- Utilize a forklift/floor scale
- Perform pre and post vehicle inspection
Required Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrate efficient operation of equipment
- Demonstrate good eye/hand coordination
- Communication skills
- Follow instructions as described by supervisor/management
- Pass drug screen test
Education and Experience
- Three years of sit-down forklift experience.
- Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
