Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items while ensuring a welcoming and efficient café environment. Your role will be crucial in creating memorable experiences for our customers.

Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for processing transactions efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist with food preparation and serving, adhering to food safety guidelines and standards.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and achieve sales goals.
• Stay informed about menu offerings, including seasonal specials and promotions to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or coffee experience preferred; strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Understanding of food safety practices and food handling procedures within the food industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
