Job Description Summary:
We’re looking for a versatile, high-level Signage Fabricator who brings deep expertise across multiple materials and fabrication methods — from wood and metal to plastics, acrylics, and beyond. This role is far more than traditional fabrication; you’ll be a core part of creating custom brand experiences, translating sketches and specs into reality through innovative builds and functional artistry. You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and other skilled fabricators to develop and execute everything from event structures and interactive displays to permanent signage and branded environments. You’ll have your hands on a wide variety of projects, often working on tight timelines with complex builds that travel across the country. This position includes hands-on fabrication, problem-solving in the shop and in the field, and frequent travel to install locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fabricate a wide variety of custom displays, structures, signage, and branded environments using wood, metal, acrylic, PVC, and other substrates
- Read and interpret drawings, renderings, and build specs with precision and confidence
- Collaborate with internal creative and production teams to ideate solutions that are both beautiful and buildable
- Operate equipment including table saws, routers, welders, CNCs, laser cutters, and finishing tools
- Plan, build, and assemble components with a focus on detail, craftsmanship, and durability
- Troubleshoot production challenges and adapt quickly to changing onsite needs
- Perform onsite installations across the country, often for major brand experiences or events
- Maintain accurate documentation, including material logs, measurements, and install details
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, efficient, and organized workspace
- Suggest improvements to processes, tools, and workflows to boost efficiency and output
Skills and requirements needed to succeed:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on fabrication experience, ideally in a fast-paced, creative environment such as exhibits, events, signage, or commercial set builds
- Expert-level familiarity with woodworking and metalworking tools, equipment, and techniques
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings, CAD files, and creative sketches
- Experience across multiple materials including wood, steel, aluminum, plastics, foams, and composites
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently and lead onsite installations
- Strong understanding of structural integrity, hardware, and assembly techniques
- Problem-solving mindset with an eye for practical, creative solutions
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus
- Must be able to work comfortably at heights and lift to 60 lbs.
- OSHA 10, forklift/lift certifications, and DOT medical card required (or willing to obtain)
- Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team
- Positive, proactive, and professional attitude with a drive to create high-impact work
