Salary: $17.00 per hour plus tips averaging $3/hour. Average pay is $20/hour with additional income opportunities to be discussed in interview.

Pinot's Palette, a leader in the paint-and-sip industry, has a need for some
FUN, charismatic art instructors! If you have painting talent and enjoy
entertaining and guiding others in art, this is a job you. Customers will follow
your instruction while they paint their own masterpieces. The ideal person
for this job will have an OUTGOING personality, strong work ethic, eagerness
to learn, positive attitude and the ability to work quickly and energetically
with our team of artists.

Responsibilities include:
-Learning and executing the “pinot way” detailed teaching methods.
-High level multi-tasking-must be able to paint sample, instruct, manage
painting time to remain within given parameters of class, manage music
levels constantly, instruct, and monitor guests to ensure they are keeping
pace, all while being energetic and entertaining.
- Instructing customers during class in an ENERGETIC, CLEAR and WELL-
PACED MANNER while encouraging creativity and creating a relaxed, FUN
atmosphere.
-Assisting customers and staff member(s) to ensure smooth class flow and
promote customer painting success through teamwork and positive
attitude.
-Cleaning and up keep of the studio and supplies.
-Basic bartending.
-Food Service. Must get food handler certified.
-Instructing candle making classes and Turkish Lamp classes.
-Manage Bar, food prep, and register under stressful conditions for large
groups who all come in at the same time. Working at a fast pace is required.
-Working Mobile and Off-Site Events at schools, local festivals, promotional
events, etc.
-You will need to practice paintings and take notes for class on your own
time, unpaid. Practice will be paid during first 3 months. of probation.
-On occassion require samples paintings to be done by
instructors as we test paintings for our franchise. Instructor must complete all
samples a minimum of one month prior to class date.

Required Skills/Abilities:
-Public Speaking and entertainment skills (comfortable on stage using a
microphone). During your 2-3 hour instruction, you MUST be able to keep a
room of 1-50 guests of All ages ENTERTAINED. Upbeat, high energy, funny ​and outgoing personality is a MUST in order to do this job. IF THESE THINGS
DON'T DESCRIBE YOU, DO NOT APPLY. Shy, quiet or low energy does not
work in this environment. We are mainly an entertainment venue instructing
non-painters from ages 6-96 on a single painting while they Eat, Drink, and
Have Fun. You must have solid artistic talent, especially in acrylics, but a
college degree is not needed. You need to be a PEOPLE PERSON, able to
handle constructive criticism, follow instructions yet use common sense
when duplicating our paintings.
-Ability to execute quality, acrylic paintings in various painting styles using a
variety of techniques. You must be able to replicate our paintings EXACTLY.
NO deviation from our techniques are allowed. Basic computer skills and
internet knowledge.
-Time management and communication skills. Must be able to listen to and
follow directions. Employees must check their schedules twice daily, show up
on time, working holidays and weekends, practice on their own time and do
some of the "not so fun stuff" like cleaning and stocking.
Our schedule varies constantly. Because we do a high number of private
events, many shifts come up last minute or could be cancelled last minute.
Schedules change based on need so you MUST to be very flexible. You will
also need to practice, study and make your instruction notes for paintings on
your own time. *MUST BE RELIABLE, HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION AND
BE AVAILABLE NIGHTS, WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS. *This is a part-time
position with a 90 day probationary period.
Required Acrylic painting experience.
Experience leading a group of people
Experience in customer service preferred
