Pinon Unified School District is seeking a High School English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality education to high school students and ensuring their academic success. - Plan and deliver effective and engaging English lessons to high school students.
- Assess and evaluate student understanding and progress using a variety of methods.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
- Attend parent-teacher conferences and collaborate with parents and guardians to encourage student success.
- Participate in school-wide events and promote a positive school community.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students.
- Fulfill any additional duties or responsibilities as directed by the school principal.
- Hold a valid Arizona Department of Education State Teaching Certification in secondary education
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Education or a related field.
- Master's Degree Preferred for Dual Credit
- Demonstrated knowledge of Arizona State Standards and proficiency in standards-based instruction.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to use technology to enhance instruction and student learning.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
