Position Title: Health, Safety and Environment Intern

Summary & Objectives:

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting the company’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with various teams to support the company's operations, ensuring effective coordination and successful project completion within the defined timelines.
• Utilizing understanding of customers' needs and the company’s solutions to determine effective solutions for customers, ensuring successful project outcomes aligned with customer requirements.
• Participating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
• Seeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.
• Using Learning and training systems.
• Review and updating of Risk Assessments.
• Review and updating of equipment specific Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Review and support the implementation of the HSE management system.
• Gain a broad understanding and overview of the HSE&S field.
• Be a Champion for Safety culture and engagement.
• Build relationships with people, leaders and employees; empower them to proactively find and resolve potential safety concerns.

Required Skills:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety and Supply Chain, in the United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

Compensation:

The compensation for this role is $20-34 per hour.
