Superintendent Job Description
Pinnix, Inc. is seeking an experienced ground up construction superintendent for commercial projects.
About Us:
Pinnix has been doing business as a General Contractor since 1927. We offer a complete range of construction services for commercial, industrial, private sector and government work. Our firm's typical projects include retail shells/up-fits, office up-fits/renovations, warehouses, churches, factories, health care facilities, banks and schools.
We are located in Gaston County and concentrate our contracting work within a sixty-mile radius. This concentration has enabled Pinnix to hire and keep quality personnel by keeping them at home at night with their families. The small radius also ensures that we are ever mindful of customer satisfaction and the importance of repeat business. We are extremely proud of the fact that 80% of our business comes from repeat customers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
(They will include but are not limited to the following:)
- Quality of Craftsmanship
- Oversee all construction activities & scheduling of work.
- Coordinate & schedule delivery of materials & equipment
- Coordinate & schedule Pinnix, Inc. workforce
- Coordinate & schedule subcontractors
- Coordinate weekly subcontractor meetings
- Update & maintain 3 week project schedule
- Keep as built drawings for project close out
- Maintain daily log of all activities and site conditions, while managing the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance
- Maintain jobsite files with subcontracts, PO’s, & shop drawings
- Maintain jobsite contract drawings, specifications, addendums, bulletin drawings, etc.
- Maintain a safe construction site.
- Hold Toolbox Safety meetings
- Interface / Maintain an excellent rapport with Clients
- Maintain budget throughout the Project
Job Requirements
- 5 Years of experience as a Superintendent
- Ability to use and manage construction management software utilizing iphone/ipads
- Ability to read & interpret plans and specifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of major primary trades
- Ability to supervise and manage multiple subcontractors
- Scheduling
- Fundamental computer skills
Experience:
- Commercial construction superintendent: 5 years (Required)
- Ground up construction
