Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across local routes, including delivery driving and route driving assignments
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT laws.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and freight documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any route adjustments needed during the day.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks preferred.
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and truck loading/unloading procedures.
- Familiarity with rail freight is a plus.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
- Ability to handle hazardous or dangerous goods safely and responsibly when required.
- Excellent navigation skills using GPS navigation systems; ability to adapt quickly to changing routes or schedules.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks associated with proper pre-trip of containers and chassis.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
