Job Overview
Building Designer / Architectural Draftsperson (Contract / As-Needed)
We’re a small design-build company based in Monterey County, looking for a skilled Building Designer or Architectural Draftsperson to join us on a contract, as-needed basis. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys flexible, project-based work and can hit the ground running.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work independently with your own workspace
- Strong understanding of building permit plan sets and construction detailing
- Experience permitting projects in Monterey County and surrounding areas
- High proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
Nice to Have:
- 3D modeling and rendering skills (Revit or SketchUp preferred)
- Experience assisting with estimating and sending plans out for bid
- Knowledge of material specifications
- Familiarity with window and door packages
Software:
- AutoCAD (required)
- Revit
- SketchUp
- Photoshop
- Microsoft 365
