Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Wound Care Specialist located in Columbus NC. The Wound Care Specialist will provide comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic wounds, collaborate with nursing staff at Skilled Nursing Facilities to develop and implement treatment plans, ensure best practices are followed for wound prevention, and monitor patient progress to adjust care plans as needed. The role also involves educating patients and caregivers on proper wound care and treatment options.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to collaborate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Expertise in Medicine with a background in Critical Care Medicine
- Exceptional Customer Service abilities to ensure patient satisfaction and quality care
- Licensed healthcare professional, such as RN, LPN, or APRN, with specialization in wound care preferred
- Certification in wound care (e.g., WCC, CWCN, or CWS) is highly desirable
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize patient needs
