Admissions Coordinator
Full - Time | Richmond, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
As an Admissions Coordinator at our Richmond location, you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking help. This role is critical in creating a welcoming, supportive, and organized admissions experience while helping patients take their first steps toward recovery. You will coordinate intake services, verify benefits, and support care planning to ensure a smooth and compassionate admission process.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of intake or admissions experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Three (3) years of intake or admissions experience in behavioral healthcare
Responsibilities
- Coordinate admissions and discharges for patients
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
- Assist with utilization review and billing‑related issues
- Collect co‑pays, deductibles, and other fees at admission, during treatment, or at discharge
- Arrange patient payment plans as needed
- Serve as a liaison to patients regarding insurance benefits and coverage
- Schedule and complete admission assessments and required documentation
- Attend team meetings and complete required training in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
