Position Summary
Job Title: Mechanical Assembler I
Location: Simi Valley, CA 93063
Contract: 6 Months
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30 pm (4/10 Schedule)
Shift: 1st shift
Pay Rate: $20/hr. on W2

Job Designation
The Production Assembler I performs routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly tasks under well-defined instructions. This role works with small, delicate components and follows strict safety and manufacturing procedures to ensure high-quality production output.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform routine mechanical or electromechanical assembly of small components according to company procedures.
- Review shop traveler route cards or basic schematic drawings to verify correct steps and assembly sequence.
- Position very small parts (ceramic boards, crystals, gages, fine pins, fire wire, solder particles, epoxy) under a binocular microscope using tweezers or specialized fixtures.
- Adjust, bend, align, and solder fine wires to resistors, boards, and other base components.
- Bond or seal components using epoxies, heating elements, or ovens.
- Perform various in-process testing as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may be required to work nights, weekends, or additional hours as needed.
Job Specifications
Education
- High School Diploma, Secondary Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Vocational training, apprenticeships, or related technical experience a plus.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate hand tools and light machinery.
- Basic math capability.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and work instructions.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
- Problem-solving skills using existing procedures.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
