Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II to perform inspections on components, parts, and products to ensure compliance with all applicable specifications and quality standards. This role involves identifying quality issues, performing detailed inspections, and supporting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control inspections on products, materials, and components throughout the production process.
- Review and analyze statistical data to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform visual inspections of soldered connections and mechanical inspections of electronic/electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for acceptance or rejection of inspected items.
- Implement and follow technical quality assurance procedures.
- Identify and report design, process, or efficiency issues.
- Perform inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, final assemblies, and tooling.
- Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Inspect wires, sensors (force, pressure, etc.), and other components using gauges, calipers, torque tools, micrometers, and more.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
- Work nights or weekends as needed based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow detailed job instructions accurately.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
- Proficient in using inspection and test equipment.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve routine issues.
- Experience working with blueprints, engineering drawings, and parts lists.
- Knowledge of casting, forging, molding, stainless-steel, and electronic components commonly used in aerospace.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators.
- Experience performing internal audits and documenting results.
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant quality inspection experience.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
