Position Summary:
The Electronic/Electromechanical Assembler works under general supervision and is responsible for production-related work output. This role involves performing electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly tasks that range from semi-repetitive to repetitive. The assembler may make simple decisions but generally follows well-established procedures and work instructions.
Responsibilities:
The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities include:
- Following ESD controls and handling sensitive components.
- Performing resistance welding, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, and packaging techniques.
- Working under microscopes for extended periods.
- Handling small parts and piezoelectric crystals.
- Performing intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly.
- Completing intermediate mechanical assembly tasks on small components.
- Reading and interpreting basic blueprints and work instructions.
- Conducting high-voltage potting and high-voltage testing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related electronics assembly experience.
- J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
- Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional departments such as Quality, Production Control, and Engineering.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills required for logging work orders and time entries.
- Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multimeters, 12kV Hypot testers, soldering equipment, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, standard hand tools, and microscopes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands for detailed work, reach with arms, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
