Clinical Dietitian (Registered Dietitian)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Dietitian (Registered Dietitian) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide nutrition assessment, education, and support to patients across acute care and long-term care settings, ensuring the highest standards of dietary care and patient outcomes.
This position is ideal for professionals with strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and care teams.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient nutrition and care outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Point Click Care, Meditech, or other EMR systems.
- Utilize MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook to support reporting, documentation, and communication tasks.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (required)
- Registered Dietitian credential with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or Registration Eligible (required)
- Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist in NYS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of acute care or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Point Click Care, Meditech, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
