This role plays a critical part in site preparation and construction operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders.
- Perform site preparation tasks such as land clearing, grading, trenching, and excavation.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and minor repairs.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe job site.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and crew members to meet project goals and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records related to equipment use, maintenance, and project progress.
- Identify and proactively resolve issues to minimize delays and ensure quality results.
- Minimum of two years of experience operating heavy equipment in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience using GPS or other advanced technology for precision equipment operation strongly preferred.
