Position Summary 

Pinnacle Propane LLC is seeking a proactive and results-driven AR Collection Supervisor to lead and oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) collections team. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on supervision of billing and collection functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Supervisor will manage key accounts, support team productivity, facilitate training, and maintain data integrity across AR systems. This position requires a self-motivated, dependable, and highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while mentoring and guiding team members. This role will significantly contribute to the company's financial health by improving overall accounts receivable performance.

This role collaborates with the Commercial and Operations teams to support customer relationships and improve inefficiencies which impact positive cash flow.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities  

  • Supervision – Manage productivity and daily process of the AR Collection team including balancing workload and setting daily/weekly collection targets. Assist Customer Care Supervisors with monitoring Territory Collection team efforts. Train, mentor and evaluate members to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Collection Management – Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts to ensure alignment with AR policies and ensure collection effectiveness. Partner with AR Manager to consistently reduce DSO & decrease over 60 aging. Resolve customer disputes and payment issues. Manage 3rd Party Collections account placements. 
  • Refund & Adjustment Oversight – Ensure refunds and adjustments are completed in compliance with internal policy.  Monitor timeliness of completions & provide solutions to decrease billing error frequencies.
  • Record Maintenance – Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of collection activities, customer interactions, and customer account data integrity. 
  • Collaboration – Partner with the Commercial and Operations teams to enhance internal controls, address recurring issues, and improve areas which directly impact customer relationships and negative cash flow.
  • Process Improvement – Identify inefficiencies in the process and propose solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency of collection effectiveness, dispute resolution time & lower bad debt write-off rate.

  • % Overdue Accounts
  • Bad Debt Write off rate
  • Team Performance Metrics

 

Qualifications 

  • 2-3 years of experience in AR, collections, or credit management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong skills in account reconciliation, data analysis, and Excel
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and make independent decisions
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts effectively
