Job Purpose:
Installs various types of hardware (studs, standoffs, nut-certs, etc.) in or on sheet metal parts in accordance with furnished blueprints, specifications, and L&T workmanship standards and prioritizes jobs based on production schedule and directions from superiors.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and follow Lock Schedule daily.
- Checks all parts for conformance to Technical Data Package (TDP) requirements.
- Verify First Article for all jobs.
- Signs off all hardware tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production/machine issues.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, hardware installation and mechanical assembly.
- Hardware Level 1 operator.
- Must pass internal forklift operator & safety training certification program.
- Able to utilize all machinery with clear instruction and training.
- Able to identify/correct production issues.
- Must maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating machine maintenance, and instruction and/or procedure manuals.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Some computer skills required to be trained in shop business management system (BMS).
- Able to fluently read and understand engineering blueprints, specifications, process documents and inspection tools.
- Ability to train other employees.
- Ability to work with shop standard tools.
- Good organizational & communication skills.
- Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment and be sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion.
Physical Requirements:
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hand and arms; and talk to hear. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift and climb balancing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or protective gear on a daily basis. Occasionally exposed to risk outside diameter (OD) electrical shock. Exposed to moving mechanical parts, humid condition, fumes, or airborne particles, flying metal burs and chips and possible chemical irritants such as water-based coolants, hydraulic oils, degreasing soap and mineral spirit. Occasionally exposed to uncomfortable cold or heat. Exposed to hazardous equipment on a weekly basis.
ITAR:
This position requires access to technology that is controlled under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This is required to ensure compliance with federal law.
Salary : $19 - $22
