Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Bastrop, Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional weekend (Saturday only)/on-call rotation as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Enter and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, package, and label medications for dispensing.
- Assist with cycle fills, new admissions, discharge medications, and refill requests.
- Coordinate with nurses, caregivers, and facility staff regarding medication orders and clarifications.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, medication returns, and medication destruction procedures.
- Support medication packaging systems, including blister packs and adherence packaging.
- Handle incoming phone calls, faxes, and electronic prescription requests.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician Registration.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, pharmacy workflows, and collaboration with pharmacists and other Pharmacy Technicians.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience with inventory control, including ordering, stocking, rotating, and tracking medications and supplies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Preferred
- Previous long-term care pharmacy experience.
- Experience with pharmacy management software.
- Familiarity with cycle-fill processes and medication packaging systems.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care pharmacy operations.
