What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Pinnacle Pharmacy?
PInnacle Pharmacy is searching for a pharmacy technician. The candidate MUST have current retail pharmacy experience, meaning you are presently working in a pharmacy or you have worked in a pharmacy within the last 6 months. Applicants will not be considered if they do not meet the aforementioned criteria.
To be considered for this position, work experience must include data entry of prescriptions, including performing the mathematical calculations associated with said entry. The candidate also must possess the ability to multi-task, transitioning between the different facets of the business. Lastly, but most importantly, exhibit strong customer service skills.

We use the ComputerRX data system for prescription processing. This system includes all of the technological modalities of modern systems, but is not windows based. It is easy to learn, but requires user input.
The starting pay rate for this position will be based on experience and can be as high as $18 per hour. Hourly pay rate increases can be obtained quickly and are based on individual performance. For the first 4 or 6 weeks, shifts will be predominantly closing shifts due to the evening being optimal for training you on the many facets of our business that are not traditional "chain pharmacy" services. You may also be required to work at least one Saturday per month. Our hours are 9-6 Monday through Friday and Saturday 9-12. Closed on Sundays and major holidays.

Duties (include but not limited to the following):
- Greeting patients in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist when appropriate.
- Ringing customers at the sales register.
- Data entry of prescription orders and preparing prescriptions to be verified by the pharmacist.
- Inventory maintenance by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; receiving and putting orders away; anticipating needed medications and supplies; processing outdated drugs
- Maintaining a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
